Find the videos that broke out. Write the one that's next.

Reelsurfing tracks creators across YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram, ranks every video against its own channel's average, shows you why the breakouts worked, and turns that into your next script.

The idea

Views lie. Outliers don't.

A big channel gets big numbers on a bad day. That tells you nothing about the idea. The signal is a video that did far better than that creator normally does, because something about it worked: the hook, the premise, the way it was told.

Those are the videos worth studying, and they are hard to spot by scrolling. Reelsurfing finds them for you.

Same week, two videos
A channel that usually gets 2M1.1M views
Below their normal0.5x
A channel that usually gets 12K264K views
A real breakout22x

The first video has four times the views and is the worse idea. Reelsurfing scores every video against the median of that channel's own recent uploads, so what rises is what worked, not who is already big.

See why a video worked, not just that it did

Open any outlier for its transcript, the idea behind it, the hook as a reusable formula, and how the story is built, beat by beat.

Hooks that already stopped the scroll

Every analyzed video adds its opening line to your library as a fill-in formula, next to a starter set from viral Shorts. Pick one and it's written for your topic.

A script in minutes, and it's yours to shape

Give a topic. Reelsurfing researches it on the web, offers hooks filled in from that research, and writes to the length you choose. Click any section to rewrite just that part.

  • Research with sources

Facts come from pages it actually read, listed under the brief. Numbers it can't trace are flagged before you film.

  • 1 to 4 minute scripts

Section-by-section word budgets keep a script on length, with a re-hook in the middle of longer ones.

  • Fix a draft you already have

Paste a script. Your facts and voice stay; the structure and the opening get rebuilt.

How it works

Four steps, about ten minutes

  1. 1
    Tell us your niche

Describe what you make. We suggest channels worth watching, and you pick which to track.

  2. 2
    Open your feed

Every tracked video, ranked by how far it beat its channel's median. The breakouts are at the top.

  3. 3
    Study the breakouts

Analyze one to get its idea, hook formula, and story structure. Save the ones worth stealing from.

  4. 4
    Write your version

Topic, research, hook, script. Refine it line by line, then copy it to your teleprompter.

FAQ

Questions, answered

What exactly is an outlier?

A video whose views are a multiple of what that channel normally gets. We take the median of the channel's recent uploads (leaving out videos too new to judge) and divide. A score of 10x means ten times their usual.

Which platforms do you cover?

YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram Reels. You can track any public channel on any of them, and one creator's accounts are grouped together.

Do I have to connect my own accounts?

No. Reelsurfing reads public data about the channels you choose to watch. You never hand over a password or log in to a social platform.

Will the scripts sound like everyone else's?

The structure is borrowed from what worked; the words are about your topic, built from research it shows you. You can rewrite any section by hand or ask for a change to just that part, and any number it can't trace back to the research is flagged for you to check.

How do credits work?

Your plan refills credits each billing period. They are spent on the work that costs us money to run: analyzing a video, researching and writing a script, and adding a channel. A step that fails is refunded automatically.

What happens when the trial ends?

If you do nothing, your plan starts and your card is charged. Cancel anytime before that from Settings and you won't be. Either way, everything you made stays readable.
